Favourite Manga Dragon Ball, Naruto, and Bleach	SuperSaiyanQ Sep 1 2014, 06:15 PM Gohan offers Goku assistance when he believes that it'd be better for Goku to not go Super Saiyan...Yakon's failed attack could be explained by saying that he was only caught off-guard by the fact that Goku could tell where he was in the dark, which isn't all that far-fetched since Babidi had just said that moving to the dark planet would make things easier for him. Yakon should at least be capable of causing some damage to Goku, then, and in order for that to be true, he can't be all that far off from Goku's power. I doubt he dropped his guard though it could just be Goku wasn't expecting somebody as big to move so fast. Once deciding he could dodge at that level Goku just took it seriously. Plus if Yakon was as strong, he would have attacked instead of being greedy and kill all four of them before they went SSJ.

Eh, that was kind of plan, so I'm not sure what you're going on about there (you're implying that he knew they could turn SSJ too...). Yes, Goku was caught off-guard somewhat too, and Gohan knows this, but he still says what he said...Yakon's weaker, sure, but that doesn't automatically make him so weak that he can't damage Goku.

I might be shot down for this but Gohan ain't one that should be giving help or advice to a person that trains a lot unlike himself. He was earlier assure his dad can win but since Yakon ate his SSJ he's having doubts. His words at this point means jack right now. And if Goten can be near equal with Gohan then Lazuli and Lapis should have no prob with Yakon.

Pyrus even then he was owning him in base if he really needed a small push in power he had Kaio-ken. If Vegeta was the one to insist the help then I would consider the statement.

He dodged a few attacks and kicked him whilst he was off-guard from my recollection. Vegeta helps the case because he insisted that Goku had to have some kind of plan once Super Saiyan was out of the question. Why not just say, "Lol Carrotcake's kicking this dude's a*** either way" if that was the case, and not even humor Kaioshin's caution?

Even if you use the excuse that he didn't want energy being transferred to Boo, he'd have to have some reason for believing there was a chance that that could happen; hence, Base Goku is in trouble against Yakon even without the energy eating, according to Kaioshin. Chapter: 450 (DBZ 256), P7.2-5 Context: after Yakon slashes Goku Gohan: “Oh! He’s huge, but quick!” Kaioshin: “Let’s fight together!” Gohan: “Nah, I think father will be perfectly fine on his own.” Kaioshin: “…” After Yakon eats Goku's Super Saiyan energy, Gohan is the one saying they should double up on him. Even Vegeta displays some hesitance that Goku can do it. Chapter: 451 (DBZ 257), P6.5 Context: after Yakon eats Goku’s Super Saiyan light Gohan: “Father, I’ll fight too! If there’s two of us, then we’ll be able to win without becoming Super Saiyans!” Vizbig Vol.8, pg.82 Context: after Goku transforms for the second time Kaioshin: "No, he is being stupid!! Why do you all insist on fighting alone?!" Vegeta: "No. He is not stupid. He must have a plan."

Goku only went SSJ at first just to screw Yakon, the second time he knew of his weakness and allowed Yakon to kill himself. Look at Goku's statement - he doesnt even sound nervous and thats before revealing he had SSJ.
